Hi there,
My name is Lynds. I am a UX/UI designer drawn to design because I love combining my creative problem solving with empathy focused user-centric solutions. I can’t get enough of the research side of a project or finding out what makes users get excited about a product or digital solution.
My path to product design is unique given the boomerang journey back into the design community. Directly after receiving a BFA in illustration, I worked as a gallery artist, artist assistant, and illustrator on the West Coast for 4 years. I made my way back to the Midwest and began working in account management roles by day and continued illustration work by night. Once I started in an EdTech role as a Customer Support Specialist of a small startup, I was able to see how my previous design and illustration experience could combine with my new understanding of product development centering on intuitive user task flows.
I thrive working collaboratively,
but also enjoy diving into a project independently. I love sketching
wireframes and working on sitemaps, user and task flows. As a designer, I am always exploring, sketching, and seeking out growth opportunities and feedback in the product design field.
